The Teleshot silent shotgun shell was developed by Military Technologies for use by special operations groups. The Imperial Navy Special Action Group (SAG) balked at the high cost of the ammunition and its 'low tech' design, prefering their modified gauss weapons. Miltech had already invested vast sums in tooling and production based on early Imperial interest. When that interest waned, Miltech sought out other intes\rested parties, and found a bilk buyer they required to pay back their investment. the main purchaser, the Solomani Security Directorate, was quick to see the potential in this ammunition, and now most production of is earmarked for SolSec.

The ammunition utilizes an internal, steel balloon to capture propellant gases, thus eliminating almost all sound and flash, while retaining all the deadlier aspects of the shotgun. Teleshot can be fired from any conventional 18.5mm shotgun, but will not cycle the action of gas operated weapons.
