This is a small flat, egg shaped handgun resembling a smooth stone. The weapon fires five 6mm frangible gauss projectiles at subsonic velocity. The rounds are all fired in one burst and are nearly silent. Each round is composed of 12 100mm strands of coiled memory wire. The coils expand explosively on contact with a target.
The weapon is non-metalic and comes with a non-metalic wrist holster, which, when the hand is placed into a firing grip, slaps the weapon into the palm of the hand. Relaxing the hand reholsters the weapon. The holster requires some adjustment for each individual user. The weapon may be set to fire immediately upon being palmed. This weapon is not detectable to the usual forms of scanners until tech level 9 and above. It is illegal at law level 1. |
