Gondar Repeating Rifle

The gondar repeating rifle is a relatively conventional semi-automatic rifle. It uses a simple gas operated mechanism and has a proven record of reliability in adverse conditions. two unusual features of the weapon are its large magazine capacity (magazines are available in 10, 20 30, 40 and 50 round capacity) and the fact that it is chambered for the relatively low powered 7x45mm intyermediate round. This cartridge is typically used in assault rifle type weapons, and when fired from the relatively heavy (3.8 kg) Gondar has a very mild recoil, making it a pleasure to shoot. Like most rifles of this class, the weapon is quite robust and can be fitted with a bayonet or greade launcher spigot.

Notes:

Originally conceived as a basic military rifle for low tech armies, it has found favor with may police agencies who admire its lack of overpenetration and non-military appearance.

The magazines are constructed of clear polymer, allowing easy visual inspection of ammunition.
