'Peerless' Double Rifle
The Peerless Double rifle is typical of of heavy caliber hunting rifles designed for use against dangerous game in close cover. The two barrels each have a seperate firing mechanism and trigger, allowing for a fast second shot and redundancy in the event of a malfunction-both critical features when hunting multi-ton dangerous animals at close range.
This weapons fires at 32 gram solid projectile at over 700 m/s, producing well over 6000 Joules of muzzle energy, and capable of penetrating the meter thick skull of a large male tusker and delivering a killing blow. Recoil is pronounced, and the weapon is heavy, at over 5 Kg.
