Police are investigating what witnesses claim as "shot being fired" on the notoriously free-wheeling Rainbow Commune Archology.

Investigators noted that this is not the first report of gunfire on the counter-culture commune.

"Rainbowers like to flaunt the law", stated SolSec monitor David M. "there are probably half a dozen illegal firearms on the commune. These radicals like to let off a shot or two, just to irritate the lawful authorities"

Unsubstantiated rumors also suggest that one or more citizens may have been injured by stray gunfire. Police discount these reports.

"We have no evidence of anyone being injured" stated seargent Laura Hibly of the Rainbow Peacekeepers. "Solomani Citizens don't shoot at each other. This is not the Imperium".

A statement issued by SolSec concluded that the gunshots were "nothing more than vile rumors, propaged to instill a sense of fear in the peaceloving inhabitants of Rainbow Commune." The statement further noted that Rainbow has the largest Alien population on Vantage. "Statistics continue to show higher levels of crimes in areas having significant populations of non-humans, and Aliens, while making up only a tiny fraction of the population, represent a significant percentage of those arrested".

"Bring in a lot of aliens and Imperials, and your just asking for trouble", stated Jimbo Trumble, head bartender at The Usual Place.
