Double Barreled Shotgun

This example is representative of a whole series of multibarreled shotguns made or modified for combat use. Typically, these are based on hunting weapons with abbreviated barrels for better handling in restricted spaces. Barrels are usually around 50cm, but extreme examples as short as 20cm can be found. Often these weapons have the stock cut off and resemple a large pistol. These 'whippet guns' have poor long range performance, but are devistatingly effective at close range.

Notes:
Variations include single as well as multple barrels (one example featured no less than 7 barrels!). These weapons are likely to be encountered at lower tech levels (<10) wherever the law allows.
